NVIDIA GeForce 511.72 Hotfix for Windows 11 and Windows 10: Bug fixes

NVIDIA GeForce 511.72

NVIDIA has released the GeForce Game Ready 511.72 Hotfix driver update for Windows 11 and Windows 10, fixing some bugs that users have encountered.

On February 4, 2022, NVIDIA released the 511.72 Hotfix update for the NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready driver 511.65 WHQL for Windows 11 and Windows 10. The new Hotfix fixes other bugs found in the latest version of the driver.

Fixes in NVIDIA GeForce 511.72 Hotfix

In GeForce Game Ready 511.72 Hotfix, the developers fixed the following issues:

  • G-SYNC cannot be re-enabled on G-SYNC compatible displays after manually disabling from NVIDIA Control Panel [3523157]
  • Random image distortion in Call of Duty Vanguard [3519774]
  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla may not launch correctly [3525655]

Pre-release driver
It is important to note that the drivers have not received WHQL status and are not recommended for all users. Nvidia says:

Driver data has gone through a simplified quality assessment process. Their main goal is to correct errors as soon as possible. The safest option is to wait for the following driver with WHQL certification. However, we know many of you are willing to try the current solution.

You can report a bug via the form or in a dedicated GeForce forum thread if you find a bug.

Download and installation

In terms of compatibility, the new NVIDIA GeForce 511.72 Hotfix drivers are designed for computers and laptops running 64-bit versions of Windows 11 and Windows 10. Attempting to install incompatible drivers may cause your computer's graphics subsystem to work incorrectly.

You have to wait 60 seconds.

Download and run the appropriate version of the package for your configuration, close programs, and applications that may interfere with the installation of drivers, and then follow the instructions on the screen.

After the installation is complete, it is recommended that you restart your computer for the changes to be applied correctly. If the reboot did not go through automatically, do it manually.
